I hope you are all as excited to finally meet in Berlin in October. Here are some practical things to keep in mind, more detailed info will be posted after our two first online-sessions.
- Your tickets
I've bought all your tickets and sent them to your email. If you haven't received it yet, please write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll resend it. You'll have to check-in personally closer to your departure, all the information is in the email I've forwarded you.
- The venue
The venue is in Kreuzberg and is called Migrations Rat. The address is Oranienstraße 34, 10999 Berlin and the closest U-Bahn station is Kottbusser Tor. The venue is of course wheelchair accessible and has been reserved for the training.
- The hostel
The hostel we're all staying in is called Acama. The address is Tempelhofer Ufer 8-9, 10963 Berlin. The closest U-Bahn stations are Möckernbrücke and Hallesches Tor.
- Some of you will have time to leave your luggage in the hostel before we meet at 2pm in the venue. I've given the hostel your first names (not passport names) so they will be expecting you. Please read how to get to the hostel and venue in the blog-post "How to get to..."
- The food
We've ordered delicious catering from a Berlin-based community member. Their food is vegan and whenever there's gluten there's a gluten-free option. The food will be served at the venue and includes coffee/tea, drinks, cakes etc for the breaks!
- The refunds
We will only be able to refund you airport transportation tickets with cash at the venue. This is due to the heavy administration and high fees of small amounts internationally. So please; purchase return tickets to/from airport and request a receipt, so that you have two receipts for us at the venue. We will refund you directly in cash. We can only refund public transport. If you need another kind of transport please let us know before.
